This is one of the few projects we’ve done outside of Centro, located in Cholul. The remodel included upgrades to the terrace, three bathrooms, a walk-in closet, the garden, and the pool area. The terrace was tiled with conchuela, a local stone with embedded shells, which was sealed to withstand the outdoor weather conditions. We added a mallasombra structure near the main bedroom, providing shade both for the terrace and the bedroom. To improve access to the garden, we installed stairs with iron handrails, and additional stairs were added to the pool. We also included planters and enhanced the terrace with lighting. For the bathrooms, we completely remodeled all of them—guest, main, and poolside. The client requested a clean, contemporary design with views of the garden. The flooring was ceramic tile, while the shower floors, benches, and counters were made of Crema Maya, a local stone. The wood elements were crafted from cedar, painted white, and we used black aluminum windows with glass. This project was a challenge for us due to its location outside our usual area of work, but it was a rewarding experience.
