PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT - BUILDER
Architect Fernando Abreu heads the design-build firm CENTRO architects. Having always known that he wanted to study architecture, Fernando moved when he was 17 from Cozumel to Mérida to earn his Bachelor in Architecture from the Autonomous University of Yucatán (UADY). During this time he was part of an exchange program at Auburn University´s Rural Studio in Alabama, where he collaborated with a design-build team and first discovered his love for construction. In 2011 he earned his Master of Construction Management at the School of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Yucatán and went on to open his own studio. With a concentration on residential work, renovations in the downtown area now make up the majority of the studio´s projects. Fernando applies his creativity, quality work, and honest approach to every project. See his resume here.
