For this house remodel in Garcia Gineres, we preserved and restored the original facade and front section of the building. The sides had previously undergone additions that were in poor condition, so we demolished and rebuilt these areas to create a new private section, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and a laundry room. We incorporated skylights throughout this section to enhance ventilation and natural lighting. We maintained the front part of the house for more public spaces, such as the studio, dining room, living room, and a large terrace next to the kitchen. (The kitchen was originally located elsewhere, but we always advise our clients, when starting a new project, to rethink the layout based on current needs rather than the existing placement of rooms. Often, people assume they can save money by keeping certain spaces in their original locations. However, in most cases, plumbing, electrical, and other installations need to be redone anyway, so there's little cost savings. Worse, it can lead to a design that doesn't suit the current use of the house, simply because it follows an outdated layout). On the exterior, we designed the bedrooms, terrace, and kitchen to all face towards the pool and garden, creating an inviting atmosphere throughout the home.
