Our client sought a design for her backyard garden that would facilitate outdoor living, with room for a table and chairs, so she could fully enjoy the space. To achieve this, we made some key interventions. First, we laid out pathways and defined garden areas using a distinctive red stone. Proper drainage was crucial for the new hardscaping, so we installed a drainage system that leads to a well, ensuring effective water management. This was done with great care to avoid disturbing the existing plants. A significant feature we assembled was a large stone fountain, with the top part being a single, heavy piece. Transporting it from the street, through the long house, and lifting it into place was a challenge, but we successfully installed it. For the existing pool, we addressed leaks and other issues to make it fully functional. Our client, a clothing designer from New York with a keen eye for color, selected special Venetian tiles to replace the painted finish. We installed these tiles on the walls, steps, and floor, paying close attention to detail to achieve the desired aesthetic. Overall, the project transformed the garden into a beautiful and functional space, meeting our client’s needs and enhancing her outdoor living experience.
